About Johnny
I fell in love with music at 12, learning rhythm from my dad and playing by ear. But by the time I reached college, I was struggling with self-doubt and gaps in my skills. Through structured lessons and mentorship, I transformed into a confident drummer and guitarist - and I’ve been playing and teaching professionally ever since.
Along the way, I discovered that students grow fastest when they play the music they love. That insight inspired me to create the Setlister philosophy: lessons built around you, so you can build the soundtrack of your life one song at a time.
I think of myself less as a “music teacher” and more as a music coach. I don’t just teach songs - I coach you to become the kind of musician you’ve always wanted to be. Together, we’ll build confidence, break through roadblocks, and make music a natural part of your life.
My goal is simple - to give you the tools, confidence, and joy to play music you love anytime you want.
